Battle of the Thirty
This tournament has been held at several recent Pennsics. It recreates the conditions of the famous Battle of the Thirty from the Hundred Years War. The tournament is conducted under period fighting conditions: fighters thrust to vulnerable spots or knocked to the ground are "killed", and fighters sustaining three head blows are “stunned” and escorted from the field for ransom. Combatants wear14th-century style armor, and wield spears and pollaxes.
