Waterbearing

Calling all those interested in waterbearing (or at least curious to learn how it works) !

We always need volunteers to help pass out water to fighters and other individuals during battles on the field and in the woods. We greatly need assistance throughout the week with gathering, sanitizing and refilling water jugs.

The more individuals assisting with waterbearing, the more water is passed out, and the safer everyone is from heat-related issues. We typically hand out hundreds of gallons of water daily. Your help would be greatly appreciated. We especially love when households volunteer for a few hours during the week. A little assistance really goes a long way.

The waterbearing tent will be located on the east side of the battlefield (look for the waterdrop banner). We arrive there between 8:00 - 8:30 am, and are there throughout the day, every day. With more people to assist, we can finish early and have more time to play.

To join us in waterbearing, you must follow four simple rules:

  1. You must be 18 to be a waterbearer on the field. (Minors may help provide water to the viewers on the sidelines.)
  2. You must wear closed toe shoes
  3. No live steel on the field
  4. Listen to the marshallate on the field at all times.
Remember to be safe and have fun. "Hydration, hydration, hydration!" ( a battle cry for waterbearers)

Waterbearer #1
