•  New Pennsic University Teen Minor Policy (12-17):
(Established 7/12/2010)
See complete letter of explanation from the Mayor.

Minors are welcome to attend Pennsic University classes. Individual teachers and classes may have restrictions due to topic, materials, request of instructor and such. Unruly or disruptive youth will be asked to leave the class as per Society Seneschal Handbook Policy.

Classes specifically geared for minors are handled through Youth Point and will adhere to all relevant policies for youth activities. No classes through the University and Youth Point specifically for minors will be permitted in private camps or merchant booths. Further, any minor who wishes to attend regular University class in a private encampment or in a merchant booth must be escorted by a responsible adult appointed by their parent or legal guardian.

New Pennsic University Service
The Pennsic University Ambassadors are a group of volunteers organized through A&S Point to aid teachers and students. They will roam through the University areas prepared to help teachers if the "Two Deep Leadership Model" is necessary, aid with basic classroom discipline if required, and assist all members of the populace to find class times and locations as desired. Our Ambassadors are there to help with quick easy questions. For more in depth questions and normal University business, please visit A&S Point in the middle of the University.

If you would like to volunteer to help with the ambassadors, please sign up at A&S Point! We also need people who have gone through the SCA background checked process. Please come to A&S Point and speak to us.

Please note that the Pennsic Book went to press almost a month ago and the material dealing with this issue will be incorrect. We will make available at Troll an insert updating this policy, but please know that on this issue the original published text will be incorrect.

•  More buses have been added; every bus will cover the entire campground and go out to the Archery field.
Service will begin with 1-2 buses; from the middle weekend onward there will be 3-4 buses.
Details on the Bus Routes page.
•  New location for Woods Battle in 2010
The new woods are north of B01, B02, & B03. They are not quite as dense as the section of fir trees in the old woods, but much more dense than the rest of the old woods. The terrain is much more primitive; ferns disguise the ground, and there are downed branches, hidden holes and ruts. It is much harder to traverse, making organized charges unlikely, and line of sight is greatly reduced. Fighters acting as scouts will likely find themselves much more useful then in past woods battles. There are some safety issues, such as 30-foot drops. Although we will keep as much of the new woods "in play" as possible, marshals will likely call holds if fights occur on or near dangerous terrain. Banners will not be allowed in areas that are, or are accessed by, dangerous terrain.
•  Any trailers kept in your encampment must be disguised to look period.
•  Adults must show government-issued id when checking in.
See the Check-in page for details.
•  The Firewood transport ban is still in effect
•  The Games Tent has moved slightly
it is now between A&S tent #6 and the Dance Tent.
•  The Heralds' Tent and the Archery Range were relocated in 2009.
All buses will stop at the Archery Range.
