•  One lane bridge on Currie Road is being replaced

Update from the Mayor - July 1 - It appears the new bridge is not going to be complete by Pennsic. I strongly recommend you use the detour directions supplied by the campground, so you'll get there in one piece no matter how large your trailer or vehicle is. Google may try to send you down a railroad bed, or down back roads that are effectively one lane wide.

•   The restrictions on transporting firewood to/from Pennsic have been partially lifted.

•  Change in date for Pennsic 42

In 2013, the Pennsic War will take place from July 19 - August 4. This is one week earlier than it would normally be held. (see schedule of future Pennsic dates)

Pennsic 42 has been rescheduled because Cooper's Lake Campground was chosen to be the site of the Pyrotechnics Guild International, Inc. annual convention from August 12-16, 2013. PGI is an independent worldwide nonprofit organization of 3,500 amateur and professional fireworks enthusiasts.

Each night, convention participants will compete in fireworks competitions, and there will be three nights of multi-hour fireworks displays. More than 20,000 fireworks enthusiasts from across the nation are expected to attend.

•  New location for Woods Battle (2010)

The battle now takes place north of B01, B02, & B03. These woods are not quite as dense as the section of fir trees in the old woods, but much more dense than the rest of the old woods. The terrain is much more primitive; ferns disguise the ground, and there are downed branches, hidden holes and ruts. It is much harder to traverse, making organized charges unlikely, and line of sight is greatly reduced. Fighters acting as scouts will likely find themselves much more useful then in past woods battles. There are some safety issues, such as 30-foot drops. Although we will keep as much of the new woods "in play" as possible, marshals will likely call holds if fights occur on or near dangerous terrain. Banners will not be allowed in areas that are, or are accessed by, dangerous terrain.

•  Any trailers kept in your encampment must be disguised to look period.

•  Adults must show government-issued id when checking in.
