Among the Cultural Activities at Pennsic you will find:

Classes covering SCA periods and cultures from the Dark Ages to the Renaissance
Dances and balls of both Europe and points farther East
Multiple venues showcasing talented entertainers from all the performance arts represented by the SCA; and
Fantastic displays of the Arts and Sciences by craftspeople of the SCA.

All activities offered by the staff and volunteers of Pennsic War and advertised in the Pennsic Book are free of charge and open to all Pennsic attendees.
→ Some events may not be suitable for minors; parents should always supervise what their minor children are attending.
→ Some classes may offer materials and handouts at cost, but these are optional and participants are not required to buy anything to attend classes or performances.

All of the teachers, performers, and exhibitors at Cultural Affairs events do so as volunteers and none of these people receive any compensation for their skills. Please take the time to thank them for their time, effort, knowledge, and skills whenever you can.

New Pennsic University Teen Minor Policy (12-17) (Established 7/12/2010)

Minors are welcome to attend Pennsic University classes. Individual teachers and classes may have restrictions due to topic, materials, request of instructor and such. Unruly or disruptive youth will be asked to leave the class as per Society Seneschal Handbook Policy.

Classes specifically geared for minors are handled through Youth Point and will adhere to all relevant policies for youth activities. No classes through the University and Youth Point specifically for minors will be permitted in private camps or merchant booths. Further, any minor who wishes to attend regular University class in a private encampment or in a merchant booth must be escorted by a responsible adult appointed by their parent or legal guardian.

The Pennsic Wars are an annual event between the East and Middle Kingdoms of the Society for Creative Anachronism Inc., and are hosted by the Kingdom of Æthelmearc at Coopers' Lake Campground.
