Martial Activities

Deputy Mayor of Martial Activities

Syr Silverthorn of Dracunmoor

As Deputy Mayor of Martial Activities, I welcome any and all to compete and enjoy all of the Arts Martial that we offer at The Pennsic War. There are plenty of War points for Armored and Rapier Combat, as well as for Archery, Thrown Weapons, and Siege. We also have a wide variety of non-War Point activities like tournaments, novelty shoots, and Youth Combat to challenge the stoutest combatants.

Please join the fun and display your Chivalry and Honor on the field in as many areas as you can. If you would like to show how much you appreciate the efforts of this year's staff, please go to any point and volunteer your time and effort to help us set up, run, or clean up any and all of these activities.

Have a safe War and go do great deeds!

Bring your authorization card to Pennsic! No card, no participation – no exceptions!

Fighters, Combat Archers, and Siege Engineers must present their authorization cards at inspection, along with their site medallion and a photo id.

Fighters primary authorization must take place prior to Friday, July 18, 2014.

If your card does not arrive before you leave for Pennsic, you can bring your original dated paper authorization form.

The Inspections Point tent is located at the southeast corner of the battlefield.

The Point closes 15 minutes before each battle begins, and 30 minutes before the Woods Battle. This gives the marshals time to get to the battlefield. Every year, a handful of people come to inspection point too late. Be early, donít be one of the ones that have to watch the battles from the sidelines.
