Pennsic 43 Town Criers

Pennsic Town Crier Coordinators

Celestia & Finar

Pennsic has a system of Town Criers who walk through the Merchant Areas and other parts of camp, making announcements twice a day, and posting the announcements and other notices on boards.

Town Cries will start Wednesday, July 30 and run through Friday, August 8.

We need volunteers to cry the camp in the mornings and evenings. All volunteers are welcome - you do not have to be an SCA Herald! We also need people who can work desk shifts at the Town Crier Table.

The Town Crier Table is located in the Town Hall Tent across from the Camp Store ('Info Point' on the map).

There will be a signup log at the Table. You can also sign up to volunteer before Pennsic.

Submitting Announcements/Notices for Town Crier Boards

Any signs that do not follow these guidelines may not be posted, or may be removed by Town Criers.

We ask that those using our services please consider volunteering at Town Criers for 1 hour per announcement provided.

About Notices

For advance approval before Pennsic, notices can be emailed to the Town Criers. They will take a look and approve notices or suggest edits before you spend time and money printing and sheet protecting the announcement. During Pennsic, please speak with Town Criers during their office hours.
