Sunday, July 30
Family Point 7 - 8 pm PW for Parents of Youth with Special Needs
Are you coming to Pennsic for the first time and not sure how to handle your child's circumstances? Is there a new diagnosis on the table that changes how you and your family need to approach Pennsic? Do you have questions? Do you have tips to share? This class with Mistress Kis Marika is designed just for you.

Wednesday, August 2
Family Point Open 9 am - noon; 1-4 pm
9 - noon Make a Sand Castle
Parents, this is a great downtime activity and fun project. You may, of course, dispose of the castle at the end of War, after capturing an image for the memories!
1 - 3 pm Belt Favors
For children ages 10 and under. Paint a belt favor on pre-assembled fabric using our simple templates, or design your own. You will will have a finished project to wear at the end of class. We will help you get started painting, and then learn history of the favor while we work. Parents helping their little ones are encouraged to make their own, too.
3 - 4 pm Viking Fun
Make a pair of Viking brooches to wear throughout War, or build a longship to sail.
Arts 1 - 3 pm Recorder Jam - PA Rehearsal Tent
(Activity open to all ages.) Come play the recorder with others in a group setting. We will start with beginner/easy music and move toward harder music. Youth players should come near the beginning. Bring your instrument or use a loaner. New soprano recorders will be available for $4.

Thursday, August 3

Arts noon - 2 pm Pennsic Youth Readers' Theater Rehearsal - PA Rehearsal Tent
Youth (ages 8-14) have the opportunity to experience a low-stress theatre experience by creating a staged reading of A Bag Full of Fables by Robert Lehan. The actors will be performing the play with the script in hand. No audition necessary; attend both rehearsals. Children under 12, please bring a parent or guardian. To be performed Friday, 8/4, in the Performing Arts Tent at 6:00 pm.

Come meet the Mayor of Pennsic, and have him read you a story or two.

Learn to make period bait and fishing equipment! All youth require an individual adult "buddy" for this class.
Arts 9 - 10 am Beginner Dance for Children/Families - Dance Tent
Some simple steps and dances will be taught to introduce children of all ages and their families to period European dancing. No experience needed

The Kingdom of AEthelmearc hosts the 2nd Annual Tween/Teen party. The evening will feature a roaring fire, a variety of games, a gourmet s’mores bar, and light refreshments. This party is intended for those age 10 and up, so bring your friends and family for an evening of s'more fun!

This is a non-judged display open to all youth. Set-up from 9-10 am; items on display from 10 am - noon; clean-up from 12-12:30 pm. Submission forms for entries will be available online and at the Point.
1 - 5 pm It Takes My Child to Raze a Village
A special Pennsic edition of this very popular series of activities from the Midrealm. Medieval and SCA-focused fun for toddlers, children, youth, teens, and adults. Bring along any outgrown garb (infant-adult sizes) for the Mom2Mom Garb Swap!

A day to celebrate the Baronial Champions of the Known World. Landed Barons and Baronesses are invited to help us choose the Pennsic 45 Baronial Champions' champion. The day runs from 10 - 4 pm; Youth champions are scheduled to start at 12:30 pm.

Scenarios will be run in the Gate, Tower, and Sally Port. Muster is 8:00 am at Youth Combat area. Previous attendance at the Youth List this Pennsic is required.
7 - 9 pm Night with the Knights
We invite members of the Chivalry from all Kingdoms to get into armor and come to the youth list! You can give our young fighters the benefit of your expertise. Sparring between adults and youth will be allowed under these special training conditions. All weapons, calibration, and conventions will be as per Youth Combat rules. Knights: Please arrive armored. Parents/guardians are advised that allowing your child to participate shall be understood as permission for this type of training. Sponsored by the Kingdom of Æthelmearc.

Open to all Baronial adult and youth rapier champions. Set-up is at 9. Tentative schedule is for Youth from 11:30 to 12 pm.
