Siege Weapons

Siege Marshal in Charge:

Mihajlo de Nekche

Official siege activity at Pennsic 46 will be limited to the main battlefield. In case of disputes, the Pennsic 46 Marshal-in-Charge will make the final call. Society siege rules will be used for governing all siege activities unless otherwise stated below.

All siege marshals must wear eye protection, such as protective shatterproof eyewear or a helm. Siege marshals should wear a standard black marshal's tabard and carry a marshal's staff. If you are going to marshal in armor then wear a marshal's tabard over the armor. If wearing a helmet, a drape or other distinctive marking is required to differentiate you from a fighter on the field.

Please be at the Marshals' Tent 45 minutes prior to any battle you are marshaling. All meetings for siege marshals will be posted at Inspection Point.

Pennsic 46 Siege Rules

The Siege & Combat Archery War Point Battle will take place on Wednesday, August 9.

Siege weapons will also used in the following War Point battles: Bridge Battles (Monday, August 7 - 1st & 3rd battles); Wall Breach Battle (Friday, August 11).

NOTE: There may be changes to scenarios, rules, and schedules; these will be posted at Inspection Point.

Also see the Pennsic University Class Schedule for siege-related classes.

Test your engine and inspect all ammunition before you bring it to Pennsic. Check all of your gear: make sure all of your equipment, bolts, rocks, ropes, string, cables, engine, frame and wheels etc. are in good order.

Get your engines and structures inspected at Pennsic early, so that if you have a problem you will have time to get it fixed and re-inspected. Inspection hours will close on time. Do not expect any pre-battle inspections of engines or munitions to be available.

Siege inspection will take place on the South Battlefield during the middle weekend:

Friday, Aug 4 4 - 7 pm
Saturday, Aug 5 9 am - noon
Sunday, Aug 6 6:30 - 9:30 pm
