Arts 12 - 1:30 pm Recorder Jam with Siri (Part 1) - PA Rehearsal Tent
(Activity open to all ages.) Come play the recorder with others in a group setting. We will focus on with beginner/easy sequential drills. Youth are welcome! Bring your instrument or use a loaner. Soprano recorders will be available for $4.

12 - 2 pm Pennsic Youth Readers' Theater: Open Rehearsal - Performing Arts Tent
For youth ages 8-14. Experience a low-stress theatre experience by creating a staged reading of The Marvelous Misadventures of Baba Yaga by Patrick Dorn. The actors will be performing the play with the script in hand. No audition necessary; attend both rehearsals. To be performed Friday, 8/3, in the Performing Arts Tent at 6:00 pm. Children under 12, please bring a parent or guardian.

Daily novelty shoots hosted by the Kingdom of Æthelmearc. These shoots will be simple fun shoots for any skill level.

Friday, August 3
Family Point Open 9 am - noon; 1-4 pm
9 - 10 am Feltmaking for Kids
We will wrap a bar of soap in wool and felt the wool using water and a lot of elbow grease. You will get wet; bring a towel! Soap and wool provided. There will be a variety of soap types, including some hypo-allergenic bars. If you want to use a specific kind of soap, bring it with you.
Arts 9 - 10 am Easy Dances for Children and Parents - Dance Tent
Early morning dancing to joyfully start the day for toddlers and up. Dances will be taught with simplified steps at times. Children can dance with their parents and friends. Free movement to music is encouraged in between dances. Please bring a parent with you even if dancing with a friend.

10 - noon Pottery Techniques for Kids
Learn basic hand-building techniques to create a small clay vessel. This class is geared toward children 6-12.
1 - 2 pm Story Reading
Hear short children's stories with a medieval setting. They are new and fiction, not retelling of sagas already known.
2 - 3 pm Theatre Games for Kids
Interested in acting? Like to play games? Come to this class for games that are all about performing! For ages 5-12.
Youth Fencing9 am - 1 pm Lists open - Rapier Youth List
There will be a variety of youth rapier activities each day including drills, games and one-on-one instruction. Some days may include special additional activities. Some loaner gear will be available. Participants do not have to be authorized. Children age 6 and up may participate. Please bring your parent/guardian the first day you attend to learn more about the youth rapier program.

Some simple steps and dances will be taught to introduce children of all ages and their families to period European dancing. No experience needed.
9 - 10 am Commedia dell'Arte for Youth - Amphitheater
Young adults will learn the art of commedia dell'arte while practicing and creating skits that will be performed at the end of the week. Ages 13-17.
10 - 11 am Children's Choir Rehearsal - PA Rehearsal Tent

We invite members of the Chivalry from all Kingdoms to get into armor and give our young fighters the benefit of your expertise. Sparring between adults and youth will be allowed under these special training conditions. All weapons, calibration, and conventions will be as per Youth Combat rules. Knights: Please arrive armored. Parents/guardians are advised that allowing your child to participate shall be understood as permission for this type of training. Sponsored by the Kingdom of Æthelmearc.

9 - 10:30 am Family Felting Fun
Cool off and try your hands at felting wool onto bars of soap. Making craft projects out of wool can be a great activity for families with kids of all ages. Felt is like the play dough of fiber arts. After you get started, the possibilities are endless.
Arts 9 - 10 am Children's Dance: Lines and Circles - Dance Tent
Come learn some dances done in large groups. Some are just patterns and others are chances to be a mime. (Any youth in attendance require a responsible adult present.)

7 - 9 pm Hunter's Home Youth Polearm Tourney
The Shire of Hunter's Home will be hosting its 5th Annual Youth Polearm Tourney. It will be conducted as a bear pit-style tourney with a break. The winner will be determined by the youth fighter with the most points. Points are determined by receiving two points for a win and one point for a loss.

Baronial Youth Combat Champions of the Known World are invited to participate in a tournament sponsored by the Baroness of the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands in Æthelmearc. Bring your Baron and/or Baroness (not required, but encouraged), wear your regalia, and come represent your Barony! The winner(s) of the tournament will be chosen by a combination of prowess, chivalry, and any other factors the Barons and Baronesses present deem appropriate. Rules/info and updates on the Tourney's Facebook page.

Special Activities 3:45 - 4:45 pmPennsic Fools' Parade - Bath House
Adults, teens, and kids, come romp around the marketplace with fools from around the Knowne World! Bring your toys, noise makers, juggling balls, puppets, kazoos, and wear your brightest clothing! This is a great activity for families! Kids under 16 must bring a responsible adult. We will meet at the Bath House next to the Cooper's Store. The parade starts at 4, all fools must attend the safety briefing 15 minutes before.

This is a chance to learn very simple dance steps that are all one needs to know to do a dance. They can be as simple or as complicated as the dancers desire. Knowing these allow the students to dance at balls and are starting points to learn other dances. (Any youth in attendance require a responsible adult present.)

Youth fighters (divisions 1, 2, and 3) and their adult armored combat partners compete in two simultaneous tournaments - youths fight youths, adults fight adults. The top Youth fighters compete in the final round. Prizes will be awarded in each division.
Special Activities 10 am - 1 pmChildren's Fete - Great Hall
3 - 4 pmChildren's Water Battle - Fort
For children 6 - 12. Bring your own water weapons (squirt guns, water balloons, etc. No catapults; they hurt!) Dress for mess and mud. Water provided. Each participant must be in the charge of a responsible adult. Treasure provided to each participant. Extra marshals are always wanted; marshals do not necessarily get wet.
6:00 - 9:00 pmLGBTQ Teen Night - Family Point
This is a chance for those teens who may be either questioning or identifying as LGBTQ. A chance for teens to chill and come together in a spot with lights and table space. Games. Electronics, Art, and conversation welcome. Often there are snacks. This is unstructured but lightly supervised by background checked and adult allies. As always no bullying or harassment will be tolerated. Curfew Rules still are in play and teens won't be stopped from leaving.

Families are invited to the Midrealm Royal Lawn to experience the mini version of the Midrealm Event "It Takes My Child to Raze a Village". Adults are highly encouraged to join the fun! Featured activities include the Duckling Race, the Plague Game!
