Pennsic 47 Memorial Project

As our minds turn to starting our journey home, we remember our Pennsic Family and Friends who are no longer with us, knowing they make this journey with us in our hearts and minds.

Now there is a place to share your fond memories of the members of your Pennsic Family who have passed on – The Pennsic Memorial Project.

Sponsored by our Mayor, the Project will appear in the Great Hall from the middle of First Week, through Thursday of Second Week.

This Memorial Project is specifically for those who have attended Pennsic. We ask that submitters confirm the individual did attend Pennsic, and that the memories of which you write are from their time at Pennsic where they camped, what they loved to do, and your Pennsic specific memories of them.

The Project will have an intake location at Town Hall, beside Town Criers desk (on the side facing the Battlefield), starting Wednesday August 1st. Prior to that date you may fill out the Memorial Posting Form (Word Template) yourself and turn it in at Information Point. Postings will be put up nightly starting Wednesday August 1.

As there are so many who have passed and who are so well-loved, in the spirit of fairness, preference will be given to closest family member in the event of two or more submissions for the same individual.

We seek volunteers to help at the Intake Desk. Please contact Dyryke Hastings at Town Hall starting August 1, prior to that please contact Finar through Information Point at Town Hall. Volunteers - please sign up at the table for a shift. Training shifts will be available. All are welcome, including young volunteers adept with Microsoft Word and accompanied by a parent or guardian. Our hope is to make this an ongoing part of future Pennsics.
