Cultural Affairs

The Cultural Life of the Pennsic War is wide and varied. You can take part as a teacher, a student, a participant, or an observer:

Pennsic University offers hundreds of classes on a wide range of topics

Artisans present fantastic Arts and Sciences displays and interactive workshops

There are European Dance and Middle Eastern Arts/Dance classes, performances, and balls

Talented entertainers from around the Known World perform in multiple venues

Please note that all classes, performances, dances, games, and activities offered by the staff and volunteers of Pennsic War and advertised in the Pennsic Book are free of charge and open to all Pennsic attendees. Some classes may offer materials and handouts at cost, but these are optional and participants are not required to buy anything to attend classes or performances.

Some events may not be suitable for minors; parents should always supervise what their minor children are attending.

All of the teachers, performers, and exhibitors at Cultural Affairs events do so as volunteers and none of these people receive any compensation for their skills. Please take the time to thank them for their time, effort, knowledge, and skills whenever you can.

Pennsic War is an annual event between the East and Middle Kingdoms of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., and takes place within the Kingdom of Æthelmearc at Cooper's Lake Campground.
