Siege Marshal in Charge
TH Lady Rosalia Iuliana Andre
Official siege activity at Pennsic 49 will be limited to the Main Battlefield. In case of disputes, the Pennsic 49 Marshal-in-Charge will make the final call.
All Siege Marshals must wear eye protection, such as protective shatterproof eye-wear or a helm. Siege marshals should wear a standard black marshal's tabard and carry a marshal's staff. If you are going to marshal in armor then wear a marshal's tabard over the armor. If wearing a helmet, a drape or other distinctive marking is required to differentiate you from a fighter on the field.

Please be at Marshals' Point 45 minutes prior to any battle you will be marshaling. All meetings for siege marshals will be posted at Inspection Point.
Society siege rules will be used for governing all siege activities unless otherwise stated in the Pennsic 49 Siege Rules. (Note: These rules are from Pennsic 47, please consult the Siege Marshall in Charge for any changes)
Note: There may be additional changes to scenarios, rules, and schedules; these will be posted at Inspection Point.
The Combined Armored/Rapier Siege War Point Battle will take place on Friday, August 12.
Siege weapons will also be used in the Bridge Battle on Thursday, August 11.
See the Pennsic University Class Schedule for siege-related classes.
LOCATION CHANGE - Siege engine inspections will take place in the Southeast corner of the battlefield per usual. However, siege projectile inspections will take place at the Siege Tent at the West end of the row of Marshals' tents.
All siege engines wishing to participate in official marshal activities at Pennsic 49 must be inspected during one of the official inspection times. Siege projectiles are welcome during the official inspection times, with re-inspection following any battle that includes siege. All projectiles must have the day's inspection paint.
Siege inspection will take place on the South Battlefield during the middle weekend:
- Friday, Aug 5 at 3 - 6 pm
- Saturday, Aug 6 at 9 am - 1 pm
- Sunday, Aug 7 at 5 - 8 pm
Get your engines and structures inspected at Pennsic early, so that if you have a problem you will have time to get it fixed and re-inspected. Inspection hours will close on time. Do not expect any pre-battle inspections of engines or munitions to be available. Test your engine and inspect all ammunition before you bring it to Pennsic. Check all of your gear: make sure all of your equipment, bolts, rocks, ropes, string, cables, engine, frame, and wheels, etc. are in good order.
