Greetings from Event Safety!

We wanted to take a moment to provide an early summary of important information to help you plan your town runs and navigate site during the event.

As a reminder, there are nighttime driving restrictions in effect around the site. Because of those restrictions and other policies, some gates will not be operating 24 hours a day and thus impact pedestrian traffic as well.

For motor-vehicles, the following operating procedures will be in place during the event (please see the Pennsic Map for locations of specific gates):

1. The Battlefield and North gates will be open 24 hours a day.

2. The West and Main gates will be open during the day, but will not be accessible by motor-vehicle during nighttime hours (10:30PM – 6AM).

3. As with last year, there are nighttime driving restrictions in effect. Motor-vehicles may not drive on the south end of the site (south of the West gate or on any of the road south of Dragon Trace) during nighttime hours.

For pedestrians, the following operating procedures will be in place during the event:

1. West and North gates will be accessible by pedestrians 24 hours a day, with the corresponding access to the battlefield directly opposite those gates across Currie Road.

2. The Main and Vendor gates, as well as the Sally Port, will be accessible by pedestrians during the day, with the corresponding access to the battlefield directly opposite those gates across Currie Road.

3. The Main and Vendor gates, as well as the Sally Port, will be closed and locked during nighttime hours. This means that the only way for a pedestrian to cross Currie Road during nighttime hours is via the West and North gates. Do not push through, past, or over any closed/locked gate as this could cause damage to the gate and thus result in your ejection from the event.

4. On the Battlefield side of Currie Road, there are ropes and/or chains which are used to block motor-vehicles from entering/exiting at points. They are, however, passable by pedestrians. You may not remove a vehicle barrier to allow a vehicle to enter site at these points for any reason. Coopers Lake staff are the only personnel authorized to move/remove/adjust these barriers.

We hope your planning and preparations are going well!
