Good morning attendees of Pennsic War.
Did you know that all rules at Pennsic are there for a reason, mostly yours and other peoples safety?
The roads at Pennsic are not all paved, there are stones, ruts and gravel. This means that two wheeled devices, even when used for a disability, present a clear safety hazard, both to the individual on the device and others.
Which is why we have rule 14:
Personal conveyances are not allowed at Pennsic. Personal conveyances include but are not limited to bicycles, personal golf carts, rollerblades, skateboards, mopeds, scooters, hoverboards, tricycles, unicycles, or trail bikes. Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) and electric wheelchairs are not considered personal conveyances for purposes of this rule and are allowed; however, they must operate at walking speed (defined by the ADA as 3mph). In addition, any trailer attached to any ECV or electric wheelchair must be done properly and not impede the safe operation of the ECV. The capacity of these units is restricted to one person per unit.
