Good day, friends! The Town Crier brings you today’s daily announcements!

CANNON ALERT WARNING SYSTEM (CAWS):
Throughout War Week, cannons are used to signal the start and end of every battle and
can be heard across the expanse of the Pennsic site. The Cannon Alert Warning System
(CAWS) sign-up is in Accessibility Assistance, located in the Town Hall from 9 AM-5 PM
daily through Thursday (8/7/2025) of war week.

ROAD ETTIQUETTE AND SITE RULES:
While Pennsic is a walking event, vehicles are still present on site. We ask that you move
out of the way of vehicles that need to pass, and remain out of the way of traffic. This
will make the event smoother for everyone. Be considerate of our drivers.
Reminder, the speed limit on the Pennsic site is 10 mph. (This includes all parking lots.)
For vehicles without a speedometer, your speed should be no faster than a fast walk.
(Stated as 3 mph per the ADA.)

Do not tamper with Pennsic infrastructure. It is expressly against the rules to tamper
with, move, destroy, circumvent, or in any way interfere with Pennsic and Cooper’s Lake
infrastructure. That includes the temporary barricades we use to mark no driving during
nighttime hours. Anyone seen tampering with these barricades is subject to immediate
ejection from the event.

BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR:
Resources are shared by many camps on this site. Please do not tamper with or adjust
settings on shared connections to water or power without discussing it with neighbors
connected to the same resources. Be attentive to how your actions may affect others
around you.

If you wish an announcement posted, bring it to the Town Criers
Coordinator’s office in the Town Hall, 9am-4pm daily, or email it to
crier@pennsicwar.org. Landscape format is preferred. Please do NOT
post announcements to sign boards yourself. Unauthorized additions will
be removed.
