This post is long but contains all of the general procedures for attendees arriving for the first time at Pennsic 53. Please read the following in its entirety and note that as this is a new procedure for Pennsic starting this year, it is subject to change. When in doubt, pay attention to the directions you are given upon arrival. Staff will be available at the point of entry to guide you.

Following are the steps you can expect to follow:

  1. Upon initial arrival, you are required to enter via the Battlefield Gate at the western end of the battlefield.
  2. Gate personnel will then direct you on which lane to proceed down towards the Registration based on the type of vehicle you are driving. All parking and travel within the Registration parking lot is one-way only.
  3. Once you get to an available space, you will turn right into the space and park with your nose facing the corresponding exit lane for that parking lane (please see the map attached to this post for a visual representation of this).
  4. After parking, you and your entire party must exit your vehicle and proceed directly to the Registration building and join the line there to check-in for the event. In the Registration building you will:
    • Pay for your length of stay (if not already pre-registered or if there is a balance due).
    • Receive your medallion.
    • Receive a parking pass for your vehicle(s). Note: if you wish to obtain VIP/Paid parking for the event, you will be offered this opportunity at the end of the Registration process. This is the only place you will be able to purchase VIP/Paid parking and it is first-come, first-served. Once VIP/Paid parking is depleted, there will be no more spaces available no matter how early in the event they sell out.
  5. After you have completed Registration, return immediately to your vehicle.
  6. As you proceed to the exit, you will pull forward (DO NOT BACK UP) into the exit lane and head east towards the Registration parking exit.
    • If you are heading to the North Gate to enter site, you will proceed straight towards Currie Road at the end of the parking area and turn left onto Currie Road (across from what was previously the Merchant Gate – see map above).
    • If you are heading to the West or Battlefield Gates to enter site, you will turn right at the end of the parking lanes and then turn right again on Currie Road to proceed back towards those gates.
    • NOTE: With the exception of Friday of Land Grab, the “Main Gate” is not accessible and is closed for the entirety of the event. The only gates through which you can enter the site are the North, West, and Battlefield Gates (see map above).
  7. Once you arrive at your selected gate, you will need to show your medallion and parking pass to the gate personnel to obtain further entry to the site. You cannot access the site via any gate prior to obtaining your medallion(s) and parking pass via the Registration process as noted above.
