Pennsic just got a whole lot easier to navigate. Thing, the scheduling and event system trusted by instructors and students across Pennsic University, is proud to launch a brand-new interactive map of the entire Pennsic War grounds β€” and you don’t need to be a Thing user to use it.

Find Anything, Fast

Head to thing.pennsicuniversity.org/locations/find and search for your destination by name, or browse the dropdown to explore what’;s out there. Camps, merchants, landmarks β€” if it’s been added to the map, you’ll find it in seconds.

Built By the Community, For the Community

Here’s the exciting part: this map is crowdsourced. Every location on it was submitted by a real Thing user who wanted their spot to be findable. That means the map grows the way Pennsic itself grows: organically, war after war, contribution after contribution.

Because submissions roll in throughout War, expect the map to fill in exponentially as War progresses.

Don’t see your favorite merchant or camp yet? Check back soon. Chances are, it’s coming.

Put Yourself on the Map

Are you a Thing user with a camp, merchant tent, or landmark that deserves a pin? Submit it! It’s quick, it’s simple, and it helps every single person walking through the gate.

The completeness of this map depends on one thing: you. The more locations submitted, the more useful it becomes for everyone β€” instructors, students, merchants, and wandering populace alike.

So get out there, get mapped, and help build the most complete picture of Pennsic yet.

One last thing: this idea spawned from a Facebook post on 7/18/26, so it’s very much a work in progress. If you think you

can throw something better together in a week, please join the Thing dev team. Seriously. It would be nice.
