A message from your friendly EMS staff, Medical care at the onsite medical facility has always been included in your registration fee, but transport off site has been subject to insurance co-pays and balance bills.
The leadership of Ross/West View EMSA has found a way to change that. To better serve the populous of PENNSIC, We will treat all registered participants, vendors/merchants and staff as “residents in good standing” during the event. This means that all registered participants, vendors/merchants and staff will not incur any out-of-pocket cost for necessary ambulance transportation to an off-site hospital emergency department. Your medical insurance will be billed for ambulance transportation, and payment from your insurance company will be accepted as payment in full. Ross/West View EMSA is here for you, and we do not want the fear of an expensive ambulance bill to discourage anyone from seeking and receiving top level medical care PENNSIC.
This policy is in effect from the beginning of PW53 and will remain in effect for the duration of our current SCA contract and will be included in any future contracts. Play, fight, enjoy yourselves and know that we are here for your medical needs.
