Greetings unto the Pennsic populace from the Department of Zoning and Planning (Land office)
We have an important announcement for Pennsic 52.
Due to upcoming changes from Coopers Lake Campground (more below) and in consultation with senior Pennsic staff, Land Blocks B06 and B07 are being closed/removed from Pennsic as of Pennsic War 52 (and going forward – this is a permanent change).
The Mayor and Land office have worked with the Kingdom Of Caid to find them a new location. They will be moving to block N30.
Starting with Pennsic 52, B06 and B07 being closed mean that these blocks will no longer be available. Your group’s land agent will need to ensure they have selected other valid blocks when they go to the land site (on or after Jan 1, 2025) when they enroll for Pennsic 52.
We have provided more detailed information for land agents on the Facebook Pennsic Land Agents group as well as the land web site Announcements page. If you’re not a land agent, the big takeaway here is that if your group has been on B06 or B07, your group will need to find a new home. Your land agent should have already been made aware of this so that they can select their new block choices as needed.
As with any land group, your land agent will be able to log in when land registration begins on 1 Jan 2025 to review your group’s registration and pick new block choices as necessary.
The changes in question are a result of a fairly major change to the flow into Pennsic. This year there will be a new building out on the South East of the battlefield which will have the registration office (Formerly known as troll) where attendees will be acquiring their site medallions before entering the site proper. This new building and the associated rearranging of the EMS Helipad, Accessible and Paid parking necessitate the closure of blocks B07 and B06 to make room.
Also note: the term “Registration” will be used in official communications replacing the use of the term “Troll”. Likewise “Modern name” will replace the terminology “Mundane name” in official communications and policy documents. Attendees may choose to continue to use the old terms, but you’ll see them updated/removed from official communications and documents.
If your group is affected by this change, and you have questions or concerns about potential choices for your group location, please speak to your land agent. Land agents who have questions or concerns should email the land office at dmland@pennsicwar.org .
Yours in Service,
Lady Tananda Densmore
Deputy Mayor of Zoning and Planning (PW52)
