Greetings!

Pennsic’s intrepid web team has been busy at work making much needed improvements and updates to the Pennsic website. Most of these design and access changes were aimed to provide easier access to important information. One critical objective was to make it simpler for folks accessing the page from mobile devices to get to the information they needed. They’ve also added the ability for staff members to directly update and provide additional information throughout the year – and during Pennsic itself. From Event Safety, that means we’ll be able to provide more timely updates about things like weather, impact to driving/parking, parking lot closures, and other safety related events.

In the meantime, as we roll into the new year and start to think about Pennsic 52, now is a golden opportunity for us to refresh the different rules and policies that govern both the operation and the attendance of Pennsic. You will now find a consolidated listing of all of the rules and policies for all aspects of Pennsic in one place under Rules, Policies, and Procedures on this site.

Most of these rules and policies are unchanged from previous years, although there are some updates (for example, adding language that indicates proof of membership can include digital formats!). In addition, some of the rules themselves were previously nigh impossible to locate within the various documents and pages about Pennsic (for example, the minor curfew rules). Finally, we took the opportunity to update some language (to add consistency), reference other governing laws and policies (modern and SCA), and improve the overall accessibility to rules. On this last point, we put all of the rules in a single space, both accessible in a web format on mobile devices, as well as downloadable in pdf format for those who wish to do so. Again, you can find them all on this site under Rules, Policies, and Procedures.

Even though most of the rules are unchanged, it is our hope that everyone will take a chance to read through the comprehensive list and update and refresh their understanding. We worked hard to provide these updates much earlier this year so there was ample opportunity for everyone to gain full knowledge and awareness… and to ask questions before the event if needed.

We look forward to a happy and healthy Pennsic and hope to see you there!
