At Pennsic 28 in '99, I experienced a medieval Disneyland. As an introvert, I didn't meet many people, but the camps & pageantry amazed me. Since then, I haven't missed a Pennsic. At P32, I volunteered on the sign crew, and at P34, I became the radio communications guy for 8 years. This let me meet staff and get more involved. Eventually, I was chosen as Mayor of P41 and served in various deputy mayor roles. Now, I'm Autocrat of P50 with a fantastic staff, excited for the event! From a shy first-time attendee to knowing thousands and becoming an autocrat, bureaucrat, and diplomat, it's been a long journey. I eagerly anticipate serving the event and seeing everyone there.

For the last 9 years, I have shifted my focus and have been portraying an 8th century Anglo-Saxon, Estgar æt Hrofeceastre. I first volunteered at Pennsic 27, pulling a few golf cart shifts at the Watch; my friends told me it was the best way to see […]
